Income-Based Membership & Programming
The YMCA is for everyone! Our programs, services and membership enable kids to realize their potential, offer ways for families to have fun and be active together, and empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body.
Our YMCA works hard every day to ensure everyone has the ability to learn, grow and thrive. We offer financial assistance and scholarships so that everyone can take part in our programs and services, regardless of their ability to pay.
Y Match Membership Assistance
Financial assistance is available, within the limits of our resources, to members who qualify for a reduced rate. In order to apply, we invite you to fill out a Y Match application, available at either Member Services Desk or below. Funding is made possible through community donations to the YMCA. This assistance is available, within the limits of our resources, to members that provide complete documentation showing their inability to pay the full member rate.
By completing and bringing in the worksheet and member application below along with all required financial information, we can determine if you qualify for a reduced membership rate. Y Match Membership applications may be reviewed on-site if staff are able, or within one business day. In some special cases with unique family/medical situations, applications will be forwarded on to our Y Match Committee. By providing a valid email address at the time of application, you may receive a quicker response. If you have not heard back within two business days, please reach out to 701.293.9622 to check your application status.

To apply for the Y Match Membership Program, please fill out the form below and give to either Member Services Desk at sign-up.
Y Match members may choose to pay monthly via cash, check, money order or credit or by setting up a regular bank draft (drafted on 1st or 15th of each month). Approved Y Match recipients do not need to pay the enrollment fee.
Note: Members who do not wish to provide their financial information may join at any time at the full membership rate. Incomplete applications are not reviewed.
Camp and Program Assistance
If you are unable to pay for a YMCA program or camp, you may choose to apply for Camp and Program Financial Assistance. This assistance is available, within the limits of our resources, to those that provide complete documentation showing their inability to pay the full rate. Participants are required to contribute to the cost of their YMCA camp or program fee – as a result, participants develop a sense of caring, belonging, and ownership. Funding for Camp and Program Assistance is provided by generous donors through our Annual Campaign.
Please complete the below application thoroughly and accurately. You must provide verification of your income – all records will be kept confidential. Please only submit one application per family/household.
Child Care Assistance
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to succeed. That’s why we offer multiple resources to help families pay for child care expenses. To qualify for financial assistance, you must be currently enrolled or in the process of enrolling at one of our child care programs. Financial assistance is designed to help cover expenses based on your family size and gross income per your household. Funding for Camp and Program Assistance is provided by generous donors through our Annual Campaign.
