What are some options for me this summer?

You will still have access to the Schlossman facility during construction! Beginning May 27, and continuing while the lobby portion of the project is underway, the facility will be accessed through the After Hours Access door on the south side of the building. The hallway from the Fitness Center to the stairway will be open and accessible. Other amenities including Group Fitness Classes, Climbing Wall, PlayLoft, Fitness Center, basketball gym, etc will remain open and available for use during this time.

Beginning July 15 and continuing while the fitness center portion of the project is underway, EGYM will be temporarily available in the Xerzone.

In addition to the temporary fitness spaces, members are also able to utilize YMCA360 providing access to livestream and on-demand options at home, on the go or any time they need.

If you’re looking to take your work out outside the facility, the Y is offering additional fitness challenges and classes for members during the summer including the Rise & Shine Bootcamp, Summer Weight Loss Challenge, Tour de Fargo and more! The Y is partnering to provide options for activity throughout the community with Yoga in the Park and more.

Beginning July 15 and continuing while improvements limit the access to Playtown, a temporary drop in child care for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years will be available in the Playloft, Monday- Thursday 8:30 am – 1:30 pm and 4:00-7:30 pm; Friday-Saturday 8:30 am-1:30 pm; and Sunday 2:00-6:00 pm.

As always, Fercho YMCA is available for members to use.

Why is the Y doing this?

Opened in 1997, our facility was at an age and condition that required a facelift to key high-traffic areas in order to improve the overall member experience. The YMCA chose to implement this project over the summer months to allow for exterior work to be done.
