Water Safety Day

Teaching children how to be safe around water is not a luxury; it is a necessity. Drowning can happen nearly anywhere with standing water, and it is important to equip kids with the tools they need to stay safe while playing in and around the water.
Each year, the YMCA is proud to be part of Water Safety Day, a community-wide event that aims to teach kids crucial water safety skills before the summer months.

Experienced Aquatics staff at the Fercho YMCA will teach skills including life jacket safety, back floating, "throw, don't go" strategy, and more! All ages welcome - FREE and open to the community!
