• Pick up a request tag from the Giving Tree at either YMCA location. Please register your tag at the Member Services Desk. 
• Help us supply some “staple” items, like books, LEGOS, Pokemon toys, slime, art supplies, or winter gear(ages 5-12). 
• Contribute a monetary donation to be used for gifts.

YMCA Summer Food Program

Every summer, the YMCA participates in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Walmart Foundation. The YMCA provides hot and nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch and supper every weekday June through August to children ages 18 and under at no charge at many area locations.

The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties has been advocating for youth hunger and participating in this program since 2009. The goal of the Summer Food Program is to help alleviate food insecurities among low-income and vulnerable children. Children may experience health issues or food insecurity in conjunction with other material hardships. Connecting children and families to additional resources can provide the support they need to improve their quality of life by reducing food costs and attending to other immediate needs. For more information on the Summer Food Program, please contact Lorrie Thoemke at 701.364.4119 or thoemke@ymcacassclay.org.

YMCA Financial Assistance

The YMCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that EVERYONE in our community has the ability to participate in our programs. Through funds raised by the YMCA, United Way and other grants, we are able to provide financial assistance for membership, child care, programs, summer camp, and more. Early Head Start

Early Head Start Program Together, Mayville State University Child Development Program and the YMCA provide Early Head Start services to eligible families at two of our locations! Early Head Start is a low income-based program that provides families with quality child care. If families are eligible, they receive child care at no cost at our West Fargo and South Learning Center locations. Early Head Start is for children ages six weeks through two years old.
