Camp sessions, themes, and cabins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may fill throughout the summer. If there is a particular camp or session that you would like, we recommend registering early to ensure your spot! 

Camp Descriptions

Adventure Camp
This traditional camp program provides activities geared to the interests of each camper: horseback riding, ropes course, archery, tent camping, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, canoeing, campfires, and more. Ages 7 - 14. Offered sessions 1 - 8.

Horsemanship Camp
Take to the Camp Cormorant ranch trails! Campers will learn basic riding skills and techniques as well as proper care and grooming of horses. Limited to 10 campers per session. Ages 10 - 14. Offered sessions 1 -7.

Wilderness Camp
This camp includes learning about outdoor skills like canoeing, archery, recognizing plants, camping in the woods, and more. Limited to 20 campers per session. Ages 7 - 14. Offered sessions 1 -7.

Water Ski Camp
Spend time on the lake learning basic water skiing skills, like getting up on two skis, one ski, wakeboards, and knee boards. Being out on the water builds confidence, coordination, and communication! Limited to 6 campers per session. Ages 11 - 14. Offered sessions 3 - 7. Campers under 11 years of age must have prior water ski experience and approval of the Camp Director. 

Ropes Course Camp
Experience the Y’s ropes course! Campers will complete the high and low ropes challenge courses, climb the wall, ride the zip line, and learn proper safety techniques. This course builds confidence and teamwork among campers. Limited to 12 campers per session.

Art Camp
Explore your creativity with art techniques like pottery, drawing, and painting! Campers also have the opportunity to screenprint a t-shirt, make printed cards, and more! Limited to 20 campers per session. Ages 7 - 14. Offered sessions 1 - 7.

Fishing Camp
Learn about baiting, hooking, seining for minnows and other fishing techniques as campers pursue Pan Fish, Walleyes, Bass, and Northern Pike on beautiful Big Cormorant Lake! Camp will provide supplies and equipment or you can bring your own. Limited to 8 campers per session. Ages 9 - 14. Offered sessions 1 - 7.

Photography Camp
Learn the basics of digital photography - including composition, focus, aperture, portrait and landscape photography, and more - in the beautiful environment of camp! Camp provides supplies/equipment, or bring your own! Limited to 4 campers per session. Ages 10 - 14. Offered sessions 1 - 7. 

Family Camp
Spend quality time in a beautiful setting! Camp includes meals, horseback riding, campfires, kayaking, swimming, and more! Each family gets their own cabin, or you may add to your cabin if you want to attend with another family!  Regular rate applies for the second family in the cabin. Limited to 11 families. All ages welcome.

Wrangler-in-Training
Learn what it takes to be a wrangler as you assist our trained staff in caring for the horses, helping in lead arounds, and advancing your horsemanship skills. Experience with horses or having previously taken horsemanship camp is preferred. 3 campers/session. Ages 14 - 15. Offered sessions 1 - 7.
